Kennon Bednar is La-Z-Boy’s lead designer. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas and has been in the furniture and design field for over 25 years.

 

Kennon’s love of decorating started at a young age as he collected and restored antiques. This experience led him to research the history of design and furniture, prompting him to enter into the furniture and design industry. Kennon joined one of the South’s largest furniture companies and, through his experiences there, honed his knowledge of design. He designed rooms in both large and small homes, loving the task no matter the size: His goal is to make the room a beautiful and comfortable living space.

 

Kennon’s decorating style involves listening to his client’s needs, wants, and desires; then designing that unique dream space. He prefers to gently guide his client toward that goal, rather than forcing them into something they will be uncomfortable with. In the end, a fresh stylish space is what he wants to leave with his client.
